The Project Academy responded to the employees’ training requests
In 2024, we arranged a comprehensive project skills training package in cooperation with Aalto University Executive Education. The training package covered three key themes:
- Communication and interaction at work
- Quality, closing of projects and lessons learned
- Management of change and resources
The training topics were selected on the basis of an employee engagement survey to best meet the attendees’ needs. The package also included training on the tools we use, led by our own digital team.
The training package provided the attendees with varied and comprehensive information about project management and administration. The courses covered the development of communication and interaction skills, the verification of project quality, the successful completion of projects, and the effective management of changes and resources. According to the feedback we received, the attendees found the training package excellent. The course on communication and interaction at work was praised, in particular.
At a wrap-up session arranged when the training package was complete, the need for further development of project management skills was recognised. In particular, the attendees wished for more detailed training on different projects at the practical level. We will therefore continue with the development of project skills and try to integrate them into our daily activities.
We aim to make better use of the existing tools and encourage continuous improvement through retrospectives and feedback. In addition, we will improve stakeholder management and develop an organisational culture that supports project management, innovation and cooperation. This will ensure that our project management competence will be constantly improved, which will support the success and competitiveness of the organisation. The development areas identified as a result of the Project Academy have already been integrated into the annual plans of Hansel’s different units.
